Local and State COVID-19 Regulations:

  • Governor Baker issued an Order effective Wednesday, May 6 2020 requiring face masks or cloth face coverings in public places in Massachusetts where social distancing is not possible.
  • All visitors from applicable states must self-quarantine upon arrival in Nantucket per the Massachusetts Department of Health. Effective July 1, travelers from Rhode Island, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, New York, and New Jersey who enter Massachusetts will be exempt from the rule.
  • Nantucket further requires all visitors and residents to wear a mask outdoors in the downtown Historic District at all times as well as in all indoor spaces open to the public.

COVID-19 Cleaning Policy:

  • Professional cleaners will do a deep clean between tenants (11 am to 4pm on Saturdays). No tenants will be allowed on the premises during this time.
  • All cleaning staff are pre-screened for any respiratory symptoms/fever prior to being allowed on premises. All cleaning equipment will be disinfected between house cleanings.
  • All cleaners will wear facemasks, gloves and booties while in the home.
  • The cleaning agency uses EPA-approved anti-viral/bacterial cleaning products will be used for disinfecting all surfaces as well as an electro-static sprayer/fogger machine (similar to models used in nursing homes, hotels, planes) which applies a microscopically thin layer of disinfectant on all surfaces (furniture, floors, counters, beds, stairs) in the home. Beds will be fogged unmade then again after making.
  • Special attention will be paid to disinfecting high touch surfaces such as light switches, doorknobs, small appliances, handles, doorways, remote controls, etc.
